Lake Levels

The Kariba Lake was created and designed to operate between levels 475.50m and 488.50m with 0.70m freeboard at all times.

The Lake level stabilised with a drop of 2cm during the week under review closing at 480.31m on 23rd June 2016, the Lake level of 480.31m is lower than the level that was recorded last year (481.56m) on the same date.

All spillway gates at Kariba remained closed during the week under review
