Accounts Assistant – Kariba

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure complete, accurate and timely billing of rental debtors, creditor payments processing and bank reconciliations. Under the supervision of the Accountant – Projects, the Accounts Assistant – Kariba will carry out the Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely billing of rent accounts receivables;
  • Reconcile rent, staff, other debtor accounts, toll fees and Stores ledger accounts;Maintain Car Loan amortisation schedules and post the interest thereof to the general ledger;
  • Raise payment vouchers and effect payments based on approved supporting documentation;
  • Reconcile supplier accounts;
  • Reconcile bank statements to the cash books and petty cash;
  • Raise Journals for accruals and prepayments;
  • Ensure resolution of outstanding reconciling items;
  • Ensure all transactions generated at Kariba Office are posted correctly in the Sun System; and
  • Prepare various reports as may be required by users e.g. debtors age

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with 5 ‘O’ Levels with Credits or better
  • Diploma in Accounting (ZICA Licentiate/ ACCA Level 2 / CIMA Level 2) or equivalent
  • Advanced Computer Skills in Microsoft Office
  • Two (2) years relevant minimum experience
